OK;
Alignment and tires coming up this Saturday.
The two tires I've looked at (that fit our budget - lol)
are the Falken Sincera sn-828 and the Yokohama Avid S.
Anyone have positive, or negative, experiences with these
two tires?
Cheers and thanks

Hi all;
Hope the cruise was spectacular and you all had a blast!
Latest on our pt is that an alignment and fresh tires resulted
in no improvement.
I talked to a manager that I know at a brakes plus in Lakewood and he said "all of our managers PT's have the death rattle". Well, that's what he called it anyway ???
I think a trip to Ft. Collins is in our future!!
On the plus side, the service manager at pro put it in writing that if a real problem was found that was causing the shudder he would fix it, up to 50,000 miles.
I still can't imagine it's "normal". I chatted with a guy driving a turbo PT over the weekend and he said he hadn't experienced anything like that with his car.
The search for an answer continues...
Have a great day everyone

Hi all;
Drove up to Ft. Collins this morning so that jack and his techs could check out the PT.
The assessment was "broken mount(s) and a possible CV shaft issue. I should note too, that another friend with an 07 PT had the same issue (same behavior anyway) as ours and replacing the cv shafts fixed her car. Her service was performed at Pro too.
We owe Jack and the guys big time for their expertise and time.
Called Pro again, when we got home, to schedule an appointment and the service manager said he was "insulted and a little angry" that we would consider another persons opinion to be as valid as theirs because; "we're the experts".
At this time Pro has agreed to order in cv shafts for the car.
Turns out that PT CV shafts are on back order and it will be 3 to 5 days before they can get a pair shipped in -- hmmm.
Wonder if we should be insulted because of all the days off my wife has lost over the last 6 months.
I actually purchased another cheap little transportation car because the PT's performance has been unsettling during my wife's 2 hour a day commute.
Hopefully, i'll have better news for you all once the shafts are replaced.
Have a great week

Here's something to add to the story. I deal with the Chrysler Dealer here at work and their delivery vehicle just happens to be a 07 Cruiser. I talked to the driver today when he was bringing parts and the delivery vehicle does NOT have this vibration problem.
Hope This Helps.......................................... _________________ Jack Smith

Hi all;
Last post here guys and gals. You've all been great but; most everything else about our PT experience sucked, so it's going down the road.
It's now the seventh day and still no response from "pro" regarding status on the cv shafts for the PT.
Thanks again to all of you who voiced your opinion on our "shudder bug" but - as for "pro" - they can put their "service" where the sun don't shine, back deep in the woods, accompanied by dueling banjos.
A special thanks goes out to Jack for the time he and his tech spent looking at the car.
Sadly, I doubt we'll ever look at another Chrysler product (unless it's 74, or earlier - rofl). We like the oldies!
Hope all your PT's go a kabillion miles with few problems.
Thanks again everyone

Here's the cap on our "Chrysler" experience;
"Pro" called this morning (Tammy was the reps name I think) to tell me we missed a service appointment.
When I explained to her that our experience with our Chrysler product and "Pro's" service had been so bad that the PT is going down the road and that we no longer needed their "service" she said "oh, well, good luck with everything" and started laughing like crazy --- wth!
Very "pro"fessional!!!
I'm so glad this experience is past us. I feel like a curse has been lifted.
I hope all of you good folks have better experiences than we have had!
Have a great labor day weekend all!!

As an aside;
The "normal" shudder is so bad now that is sometimes rattles the dash!
Thank God it's almost history.

Its a little late for this, but maybe will help others in the future. Another shop had one up here doing the same.... ended up being the left cv shaft and Chrysler covered it under warranty....no more vibration.....
You kids come by any of our events anyway with whatever you are driving. Would love to see you again.
Sorry for all that you have gone through _________________ Jack Smith
